• <br />COUNCIL WORK SESSION DECEMBER 10, 1997 <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />MINUTES <br />DATE December 10, 1997 <br />TIME STARTED 5:00 p.m. <br />TIME ENDED 7:55 p.m. <br />MEMBERS PRESENT Council Members Bergeson, Kuether, Lyden, <br />Neal and Mayor Landers <br />MEMBERS ABSENT None <br />Staff members present: City Engineer, David Ahrens; City Administrator, Randy <br />Schumacher; Community Development Director, Brian Wessel; Chief of Police, David <br />Pecchia; Building Official, Peter Kluegel; Parks and Recreation Director, Rick <br />DeGardner; Planning Coordinator, Mary Kay Wyland and Clerk -Treasurer Marilyn <br />Anderson. <br />UPDATE REGARDING SEPTIC ORDINANCE COM ' '' ER <br />KLUEGEL <br />Council received an update of this matter in S - - r. is time approximately 254 <br />residents with septic systems have not res . on to City request for a septic system <br />inspection. Now several of these prop requested that they be able to wait <br />until spring to complete their insp • r"4 are concerned that if they pump their <br />systems at this time, it will fre : e w nter. In addition, there are several <br />residents who live alone . • ave a need to pump their systems. There are also <br />several residents who = i 3 n ing to the sanitary sewer in the spring. <br />Staff was directed esidents know that if their septic system is not failing, they <br />can wait until sprin a • e their systems pumped and inspected. <br />CONSIDERATION OF SERGEANTS PROMOTION, CHIEF PECCHIA <br />PDI has conducted the testing of four (4) candidates for promotion to the Sergeants <br />position. Two (2) of the officers have been given psychological tests. Chief Pecchia is <br />recommending that Officer Kent Strege be promoted to the Sergeants position. <br />This matter will be placed on the December 15, 1997 Council agenda. <br />PLANNING AND ZONING BOARD "REGULAR AGENDA" ITEMS, MARY <br />KAY WYLAND <br />• Ms. Wyland briefly explained agenda Items No. 5A and 5B.
