COUNCIL MINUTES MARCH 24, 1997 <br />Council Member Bergeson asked if the specific 18.08 acres will be identified. Mr. Brixius stated <br />yes, it will be defined by the property owner. <br />Council Member Lyden moved to approve the MUSA Land Exchange with the conditions <br />outlined in the Staff Report dated March 6, 1997. Council Member Neal seconded the motion. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />Consideration of a Site Plan Review and Minor Subdivision, Fogerty II, Apollo Business <br />Park - Mr. Brixius explained Fogerty Investments has submitted a site plan for a three building <br />industrial warehouse development on a 7.61 acre parcel located along Apollo Drive. The <br />applicant is also requesting subdivision approval to preliminary/final plat the subject property as <br />a lot and block versus an Outlot as it is currently platted. He continued by stating the proposed <br />site has three (3) structures, each with five (5) units that will be sold or leased to separate tenants. <br />The subject parcel is zoned GI, General Industrial District. <br />Mr. Brixius stated the Planning and Zoning Board recommended approval of this site plan <br />review and minor subdivision with the conditions outlined in the Staff Report dated March 6, <br />1997. <br />Council Member Bergeson asked if all three (3) buildings are being built at the same time. Mr. <br />Fogerty replied that Phase III is not on the lot that is being discussed, it is on the lot south. He <br />stated he hoped to construct all the buildings this year. <br />Mayor Landers asked if a site plan review and subdivision can be approved as one. Mr. Hawkins <br />replied they may be approved as one. <br />Council Member Kuether moved to approve the site plan review and minor subdivision for <br />Fogerty II, Apollo Business Park, with the conditions stated in the Staff Report. Council <br />Member Neal seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Consideration of a Site Plan Review, Boe Ornamental, Lilac Street - Ms. Wyland explained <br />that Boe Ornamental Iron, Inc. was established in 1979 and has been located within the City of <br />Lino Lakes since 1980. They have been in their current location since 1983 and expanded the <br />existing pole barn by 50% in 1988. She stated that at this time they are proposing a concrete <br />block addition to the existing building that will be approximately 66 x 60 or 3,960 square feet in <br />area. <br />Ms. Wyland stated the property is zoned General Industrial (GI) and indicated as such on the <br />land use plan. Boe Ornamental Iron does metal fabrication including stairways, dock stairs, <br />spiral staircases, commercial and residential pipe railings and wrought iron railings. They <br />currently employ four (4) people and hope to expand their employee base by two (2) with the <br />proposed addition. <br />PAGE 13 <br />
