• <br />• <br />• <br />COUNCIL WORK SESSION APRIL 9,1997 <br />DATE <br />TIME STARTED <br />TIME ENDED <br />MEMBERS PRESENT <br />MEMBERS ABSENT <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />MINUTES <br />April 9, 1997 <br />4:30 p.m. <br />8:35 p.m. <br />Council Members Bergeson, Kuether, Lyden, <br />Neal and Mayor Landers <br />None <br />Staff members present: City Administrator, Randy Schumacher; City Engineer, David <br />Ahrens; Finance Director, Mary Vaske; Chief of Police, David Pecchia; Solid Waste <br />Coordinator, Jackie Constant; Community Development Director, Brian Wessel and <br />Clerk -Treasurer Marilyn Anderson. Staff is recommending that <br />Council address this matter as soon as possible so that the new Ordinance can be adopted <br />by July 1, 1997 because the solid waste haulers licenses will expire on June 30th. <br />Council reviewed the proposed ordinance in detail. Some provisions include: <br />- increased insurance limits <br />- a 10 day cancellation notice was included <br />- haulers will be asked to bid on a three (3) year and a five (5) contract to determine if <br />there is any cost benefits to the resident <br />- hours of operation are to be consistent with other cities otherwise costs will increase <br />- restriction on the number of trucks in the City <br />PAGE 1 <br />
