COUNCIL WORK SESSION APRIL 23,1997 <br />property would be impacted by the Village development and that they will have access to <br />their property via a new street that is to be constructed in the Village. <br />Mr. Ahrens noted that the Taggs are interested in selling their business and moving on. <br />However, they would like to continue their business until the property is sold. They are <br />concerned about the access to their property and want their driveway to remain on an <br />easement where it is currently located. Anoka County is concerned about freeway <br />interchange safety and wants the driveway relocated as far away from the interchange as <br />possible. <br />Staff will discuss this matter with the City Attorney. <br />Regular Agenda Item No. 4 - Council Member Lyden noted that he has received some <br />phone calls from residents who feel that the Council has taken away their rights by <br />approving the first reading of Ordinance No. 08 — 97, Organized Solid Waste Collection. <br />These residents feel that they should have an alternate method of getting rid of their <br />garbage. Mr. Schumacher noted that he has received phone calls from re 'dents who feel <br />that this is just another method of getting extra dollars for the City. <br />Council directed Ms. Constance to make it clear to the res re ty is on this <br />issue.
