Current zoning on <br />this property does not allow clubs •ons. <br />• <br />This item will be placed o` °` ' cil agenda and Ms. Wyland and Mr. <br />Wessel will give this i o �_ o tli' Tanning and Zoning Board. <br />TOWN CENTEF «' ` TE, AN WESSEL <br />Mr. Wessel b ground on the land swap between the City and Anoka County. <br />Metropolit was not receptive to the land swap until Anoka County stepped in <br />and expresse a need to obtain the land south of Ward Lake and Sherman Lake to <br />protect both lakes. The process is now moving forward. <br />The YMCA has expressed interest in locating in the Town Center. Mr. Wessel will be <br />meeting with their representatives on Tuesday. <br />Council discussed the need for a new city hall and Police Department building. Staff <br />noted that a cost savings of $650,000 to $950,000 could be realized by constructing both <br />buildings and the Early Childhood Center all at one time. Staff also noted that a new <br />Police Department building would allow the current Police Department building to be <br />placed back on the tax rolls.
