• <br />• <br />COUNCIL WORK SESSION JULY 9, 1997 <br />DISCUSSION OF MIKE KENNY'S SPECIAL USE PERMIT, MARY KAY <br />WYLAND <br />Mr. Mike Kenny, 6451 Hodgson Road has a conditional use permit for the operation of a <br />floral shop. Through the years he has expanded his home based business to include <br />landscaping. The neighborhood has changed over the years and the zoning and <br />regulations have also changed. Staff has been made aware that some of his neighbors are <br />concerned about the expansion of Mr. Kenny's business. <br />Council directed Ms. Wyland to send a letter to Mr. Kenny asking him to attend the next <br />Council work session. <br />DISCUSSION OF REHBEIN'S ARENA, MARY KAY WYLAND <br />Mr. Ken Rehbein, 490 Pine Street has a conditional use permit to . ` - • riding <br />arena on his property. Mr. Rehbein will be attending the PI Foard <br />meeting this evening asking that his conditional use perm' :: = d to'` ude a BMX <br />(bike) riding track. If the ordinance is approved by the voters, implementation of the provisions of <br />the ordinance will begin on January 1, 1998. This does not allow enough time to prepare <br />for the implementation. <br />Ms. Constant was directed to begin the process of implementing the Solid Waste <br />ordinance and periodically update the Council on this process. <br />ESTABLISHMENT OF RULES OF CONDUCT, MAYOR LANDERS <br />Mayor Landers asked that a seminar with Don Salverda be scheduled for either July 21, <br />• 1997, 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. or August 4, 1997, 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. Staff will contact Mr. <br />Salverda and let Council know which date is best for Mr. Salverda. <br />PAGE 3 <br />
