• <br />SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING JULY 28, 1997 <br />DATE <br />TIME STARTED <br />TIME ENDED <br />MEMBERS PRESENT <br />MEMBERS ABSENT <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />MINUTES <br />July 28, 1997 <br />5:40 p.m. <br />6:20 p.m. <br />• <br />Council Members Bergeson, Kuether, <br />Lyden and Neal and Mayor Landers <br />None <br />Staff members present: Assistant to the City Administrator, Dan Tesch; Solid Waste <br />Coordinator, Jackie Constant and Clerk -Treasurer Marilyn Anderson. <br />The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the advisory boards and committees. <br />Environmental Committee <br />Mr. Tesch explained what this committee proposes to do and <br />their charge. Council expres e. to ep land issues with the Planning and <br />Zoning Board respons' did ` el that the environmental issues under the Park <br />Board responsibi 'es c ed to the Environmental Committee. <br />Council discusse tis committee report directly to the Planning and Zoning <br />Board so that whe he Planning and Zoning Board makes its recommendation to <br />Council, the Environmental Committee recommendations will be included in their report. <br />Council suggested directing the Environmental Committee to complete the Natural <br />Resources Inventory. The Inventory will be used in completing the Comprehensive Plan <br />update and can be used to develop environmental based plats. <br />Council discussed compensation for this committee. It was noted that some members did <br />not want compensation. <br />Council Member Lyden suggested that two (2) members of the Planning and Zoning <br />Board become members of the Environmental Committee. Council Member Kuether was <br />not in favor of this suggestion because she wanted as many residents as possible to <br />participate in City government. <br />PAGE 1 <br />
