SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING JULY 28,1997 <br />Council Member Bergeson noted that in the past the Council held a joint meeting with all <br />of the boards and commissions to update everybody on what each group is doing. He <br />suggested holding another joint meeting. <br />Council directed Mr. Tesch to make sure the duties of the Environmental Committee do <br />not overlap with the duties of other committees. Council also asked to be updated on the <br />work of this committee. <br />Mr. Tesch will meet with Ms. Maurine Davidson, the current leader of this group and <br />explain the Council's concerns and directives. <br />Citizens Advisory Group (CAG) <br />Council Member Bergeson noted that when the Council appointed the 20/20 Committee, <br />it did not envision that the committee would go on forever. He suggested that this <br />committee give a final report to the Council and then disband. <br />Council Member Lyden said he did not have the same opinion. Staff will bring <br />this matter back ung Sep -tuber. <br />Economic Devel a Authority Advisory Board (EDAAC) <br />Mr. Tesch explained that this is an informal board and is lead by Mr. Wessel. He noted <br />that the members do not receive a stipend. <br />No action was taken concerning this board. <br />Staff was directed to prepare an ordinance to amend the City Code establishing the <br />Environmental Board and removing some duties from the Park Board. <br />These minutes were considered, corrected and approved at a regular Council meeting <br />held on June 14, 1997. <br />PAGE 2 <br />
