The goal is for the facility to be operating by the end of 2000. The issues will be discussed in more detail at the February 17, 1999, Council work session. Action will be requested at the February 22, 1999, Council meeting. Mary Alice reviewed the background of the project. The YMCA has asked for a financial commitment from the City before the project goes any further. The YMCA is beginning to do some programming through the Lino Lakes Parks Department. Kim explained the Council will need to know where the money is coming from for the project and how it will affect the tax payers. Brian will give the Council an update at each work session. 2 •
