CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION JANUARY 20, 1999 <br />AMERICAN LEGION CLUB PROPOSAL, BRIAN WESSEL <br />Brian stated a meeting was held yesterday with Andy, the American Legion Club, and <br />Morton Building Company. He reviewed the Legion Club proposal for the police station <br />site and the proposed construction schedule. <br />Jeff stated the conditions relating to a reviewal process for the project include rezoning, <br />amend zoning ordinance to add a liquor license, conditional use permit, and the financing <br />package. <br />Council directed Andy to inform the American Legion Club that theiuncil is willing to <br />consider the plan, however, several issues need to be resolved before full Council support <br />is given. <br />Council directed Jeff to investigate what other cities do in zong ordinances for this type <br />of establishment and give a report at the next work session. <br />Council directed Brian to get a feel from EDAC{about sang the use of the building <br />and rezoning the property. <br />Council directed staff to explore options regardingeanother location for the Legion. <br />DIRECTOR PERFORMANCE AP:PRAIS'ALS, LINDA WAITE SMITH <br />Linda proposed that she perfc preliminary performance review after she has been <br />here for six (6) months aid,a • :o .1 performance review after she has been here one year. <br />Council agreed Linda ';Linda's proposal. <br />REGULAR AGGIDA JANUARY 25, 1999 <br />Item 4C, Anoka County Corrections Site Plan Review - Staff will look into the P.I.L.O.T. <br />Program and give a report at the next work session. <br />Item 4A, West Shadow Ponds Rezone, Preliminary Plat and Comprehensive Plan <br />Amendment - Brian will look into the potential for any entanglement relating to a <br />previous development. <br />The meeting was adjourned at 9:20 p.m. <br />4 <br />• <br />• <br />
