The City has better resources to maintain the open space. The park <br />and trails are for the public good and the view sheds are for everyone. The homes will pay high <br />taxes. The City should provide the services to maintain the open space. <br />Mayor Sullivan stated the City already owns the parks. The cost is $17,000 per year after <br />installation. The maintenance cost does not balance the City's need to manage the property. <br />Council Member Dahl asked what happens if the homeowners association does not keep the <br />property up. Mr. Hawkins stated the City can assess them. The problem is showing that it is a <br />benefit to the homes there. There is not an easy solution to this issue. <br />10 <br />
