• <br />• <br />• <br />CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION MAY 19, 1999 <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />MINUTES <br />DATE : May 19, 1999 <br />TIME STARTED : 5:40 p.m. <br />TIME ENDED : 10:10 p.m. <br />MEMBERS PRESENT : Council Members Bergeson, Dahl, Lyden, <br />and Mayor Sullivan <br />: Neal <br />MEMBERS ABSENT <br />Staff members present: City Administrator, Linda Waite Smith; Administration Director, <br />Dan Tesch (part); Consulting City Engineer, John Powell; Community Development <br />Director, Brian Wessel; Planning Coordinator, Mary Kay Wyland (part); City Planning <br />Consultant, Alan Brixius (part); Environmental Specialist, Marty Asl ); Public <br />Service Director, Rick DeGardner; City Planner, Jeff Smyser ( of Police, <br />Dave Pecchia (part) <br />LEGION PROJECT UPDATE, BRIAN WE <br />The site plan review has been complet gig project. A landscape plan is still <br />needed. An appraised value for t rmined to be $330,000 for the <br />entire four (4) acre parcel. T or the one -acre parcel (former Police <br />Department location) 101,500. Staff noted the value of the corner <br />lot (corner lake D 'ye et the four (4) acre parcel is not significantly higher <br />than the other lot <br />The next step is f ouncil to determine a sale price for the land. The sale of the land <br />will be formally approved at the June 28, 1999 Council meeting. <br />Council directed staff to determine the amount of money the Legion has already spent on <br />trying to relocate within the City. The Legion will provide a detailed accounting of their <br />relocation costs. <br />Council asked that this information be made available at the next Council work session. <br />Council will then determine a sale price for the former Police Department building site. <br />COMPREHENSIVE PLAN UPDATE, JEFF SMYSER/AL BRIXIUS <br />The Metropolitan Council has agreed to delay their recommendations regarding the <br />Comprehensive Plan until August 23, 1999, with the following conditions: <br />1. Council will continue to work towards a compromise to obtain a 4/5 vote. <br />
