• • • COUNCIL MINUTES JUNE 14, 1999 This is a new City position specifically recreated because of the new equipment and technology required for maintaining the new civic center buildings. Council Member Lyden moved to hire Mr. Meyer as Building Maintenance Technician. Council Member Bergeson seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. Consideration of Hiring Public Works -General Maintenance Worker - Staff recommended that Mr. Robert Boldt be considered for the General Maintenance -Streets position. The position provides for a salary of $13.76 per hour plus benefits and is eligible for membership in the 49er's Union. A physical examination and drug test will be required prior to Mr. Boldt's start date. Mr. Boldt is available to begin work on June 29, 1999. Council Member Bergeson moved to hire Mr. Boldt as a General Maintenance -Street Employee subject to a satisfactory physical examination and drug test. Council Member Dahl seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. Staff noted all requirements and setbacks could be met for a building in that location. Mayor Sullivan opened the public hearing at 7:02 p.m. There being no one in the audience to speak on this matter, Council Member Lyden moved to close the public hearing at 7:03 p.m. Council Member Dahl seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. Council Member Dahl moved to approve the 1~I1(ST READING of Ordinance No. 15 - 99, as presented. Council Member Bergeson seconded the motion.
