•
CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION JULY 7,1999
During the last work session, the location of the roadway was discussed. That discussion
lead to an inquiry by Mr. Roy Stanley, a resident on 77th Street, about connecting to the
city utility services which are available at the intersection of Lake Drive and 77th Street.
The estimated cost to extend the services to Mr. Stanley's property is $55,000.
Approximately $5,000 of this cost would be for service stubs that would service other
benefited properties. The cost to service Mr. Stanley's two (2) properties would be
approximately $50,000.
From a utility extension standpoint, extending services to Mr. Stanley's property would
make additional future connection in this area more realistic and from a planning
standpoint, the extension of the water utility would aid in a future water service loop
connection.
Staff also considered where the utilities could be constructed to minimize the impact to
77th Street. Unfortunately, the paved surface of 77th Street is located on he southern edge
of the right-of-way making it necessary to disturb the roadway surf
Since it appears likely in the next two (2) or three (3) years
extended along 77th Street to serve the proposed shoppin
extend services now.
