CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION JULY 7,1999 <br />After further discussion it was the consensus of Council to table this item until the City of <br />Hugo takes action on the preliminary plat. <br />COMP PLAN UPDATE, JEFF SMYSER/AL BRIXIUS <br />Mr. Smyser distributed a memo from Mr. Brixius regarding MUSA requirements that <br />would be included in the proposed Comprehensive Plan. <br />At the last work session, staff discussed how MUSA could be reduced from 890 acres to <br />504 acres. Mr. Brixius was asked to reevaluate the issues related to the MUSA, wetlands, <br />and hydric soils. He distributed a map showing the wetlands, hydric soils and developable <br />land in the City. He also distributed a comparison of actual wetland delineation to the <br />National Wetland Inventory (NWI) maps. The first three (3) years of employment a portion of the officer's salary is paid <br />by the government. <br />2. Related Increase in budget - Sergeant Mortenson advised the increase in <br />budget is minimal at approximately $600 per officer. <br />5 <br />
