• <br />• <br />• <br />CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION OCTOBER 6,1999 <br />Council Members Dahl and Neal indicated they would like to wait on the survey until all <br />Council is present to discuss it. Staff suggested a survey might be better utilized if it is <br />sent out after the election. <br />Mayor Sullivan noted she is very uncomfortable with not doing anything about the report <br />immediately. She stated staff needs to be aware of the following processes that have been <br />put together since July, 1999: <br />1. Any council member may contact staff with a request for information. If it is <br />determined that the search for information or response will take longer than 15 <br />minutes either party should notify the administrator that additional time is <br />required. This applies to consulting time as well. <br />Getting information from staff members - Council Members may contact staff <br />directly for information. Both Council and the staff person must determine if the <br />request may take more than 15 minutes and it should be documented. <br />2. Form for citizen complaints - A form should be fille • , u . cil Members <br />when a citizen complaint is received. The form sho v. e City <br />Administrator who gives it to the appropriate sttaff person <br />should contact the resident within 24 hours - . i th plaint. If the <br />resident has not received a response or ' .. h the response, the Council <br />Member or staff person should speak F Administrator again. '_ > the ave related to her. <br />REGULAR AG <br />OBER 11, 1999 <br />Item 5C, PUBLIC i G - FIRST READING, Ordinance No. 21 - 99, Authorizing <br />the Conveyance of p erty to Ed Vaughan - Council directed staff to obtain a summary <br />of the settlement from Barry Sullivan. <br />Item 5D, PUBLIC HEARING - FIRST READING, Ordinance No. 17 - 99, Easement <br />Vacation, Oak Brook Peninsula - Staff advised the public hearing will need to be opened <br />and continued to the October 25, 1999, Council meeting. <br />The meeting was adjourned at 7:17 p.m. <br />These minutes were considered, corrected and approved at the regular Council meeting held on <br />October 25, 1999. <br />5 <br />
