CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION OCTOBER 6,1999 <br />Because the Senior Center is City property, the $50 fee must be put in the General Fund. <br />Staff asked Council if the $50 fee could be made as a donation to the Senior Center so the <br />dollars go directly to the Senior Center. <br />It was the consensus of Council that the fee for a weekly rental should go to the Senior <br />Center and not in the City's General Fund. <br />Council directed staff to determine if there is a set of guidelines for renting the Senior <br />Center. <br />DISCUSS POSSIBLE LAND ACQUISITION FOR ATHLETIC COMPLEX - <br />RICK DEGARDNER <br />Staff distributed a memo regarding Land Acquisition for Athletic Complex. The memo <br />includes pertinent information to demonstrate the research, process, and discussion that <br />has taken place which has resulted in staff's recommendation to purchase the <br />Montain/Molitor parcel. <br />Staff asked Council to review all information in detail. Staff w' bor Council <br />action on October 25, 1999. The action necessary is to agre agreement <br />because of the opportunity to acquire the land now. The , e held until a <br />referendum is held in the future to begin developme co' := -x. If the referendum <br />does not pass, the City may sell the property. <br />Staff noted public information meetin on October 11 and October 19, <br />1999, 5:00 - 7:00 p.m., in the Co'au <br />CONSIDERATION TO„ # '� . A •° the Suggested Rules of Conduct was distributed to Council. <br />Mayor Sullivan aske '' "f the Council Members present are in favor of adopting the <br />Suggested Rules of Conduct. <br />Mayor Sullivan asked for a commitment from all Council Members to resolve all the <br />issues identified in the report. Each member of the Council has a lot of work to do. The <br />impact of the work done by Council has a huge impact on the City long term. <br />Mayor Sullivan stated she would like to send a survey to staff to get a better <br />understanding of the comments relating to her. She indicated the City Administrator has <br />no problem with the idea of a staff survey. Mayor Sullivan indicated that when the <br />survey is completed, she would summarize the information and action taken and report <br />back to Council. The full Council needs to determine how to proceed with the rest of the <br />report. <br />4 <br />
