He advised that one issue relating to
the trails is the bud _- s time there is approximately $350,000 for the trail system
and boardwalks thro hout the park.
Mr. VonDeLinde advised that several options were looked at regarding the trails. There
are not enough dollars in the budget to develop the trail around the golf course as opposed
to going through the golf course. Therefore, the trail will go through the golf course and
terminate at West Shadow Lake Drive, then pick up at Sand Piper. He indicated that for
the short term the trail should be developed through the golf course. In the long term,
funding may become available from the Metropolitan Council in 2006 or 2007 to develop
a trail around the golf course. Both trails would be useful for the community. The trail
should be ready for use by mid summer 2000.
Mr. VonDeLinde also advised that they are working on locating culverts along the main
roadway through the park. He indicated that the City selling permits to the park would be
beneficial.
