CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION NOVEMBER 17, 1999 Council suggested a mutual aid discussion regarding policing of the park should be held at a future work session. LAMBRECHT VARIANCE, JEFF SMYSER Staff distributed a memo regarding the Lambrecht variance request that advised that staff is stills recommending denial. Mr. Lambrecht, 1083 Aspen Lane stated he has an issue with other requests for variance being granted while his was denied. He stated there is inconsistency among Council Members votes regarding variance requests. He asked that Council look at his request again. Mayor Sullivan advised that his variance request did not meet the criteria set up by the State in order to grant a variance. Council Member Lyden advised that each and every variance has • n its own merits. If this variance were granted, it is feasible that every v . o ; Aspen Lane would have to be granted. Discussions regarding the MUSA will co Mayor Sullivan stat a Ietropolitan Council is anxious for the City to complete the Comprehensive Plan TAGG PROPERTY UPDATE, BRIAN WESSEL Staff advised that discussions were held last week regarding TIF option. Mr. Peter Coyle has suggested the City look at private/public request for proposal (RFP), which would enable the City and Mr. Tagg to package all the property together. It is anticipated that a package will be out after the first of the year. The environmental and architectural standards will be part of the RFP. Staff noted the entrance into the site is a challenge.
