CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION NOVEMBER 17, 1999 <br />Council suggested a mutual aid discussion regarding policing of the park should be held <br />at a future work session. <br />LAMBRECHT VARIANCE, JEFF SMYSER <br />Staff distributed a memo regarding the Lambrecht variance request that advised that staff <br />is stills recommending denial. <br />Mr. Lambrecht, 1083 Aspen Lane stated he has an issue with other requests for variance <br />being granted while his was denied. He stated there is inconsistency among Council <br />Members votes regarding variance requests. He asked that Council look at his request <br />again. <br />Mayor Sullivan advised that his variance request did not meet the criteria set up by the <br />State in order to grant a variance. <br />Council Member Lyden advised that each and every variance has • n its own <br />merits. If this variance were granted, it is feasible that every v . o ; Aspen Lane <br />would have to be granted. Mr. Peter Coyle <br />has suggested the City look at private/public request for proposal (RFP), which would <br />enable the City and Mr. Tagg to package all the property together. It is anticipated that a <br />package will be out after the first of the year. The environmental and architectural <br />standards will be part of the RFP. <br />Staff noted the entrance into the site is a challenge.
