CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION DECEMBER 8,1999 <br />Members of the YMCA Board are asked to give a donation each year. Mayor Sullivan <br />suggested the Council be willing to pay the annual donation of $1,000. <br />It was the consensus of Council that the Council pays the annual donation fee of $1,000 <br />to the YMCA each year. <br />Mayor Sullivan continued stating Board Members of the YMCA have been asked to be <br />involved with fundraising. Mayor Sullivan stated she is uncomfortable with the City <br />Administrator or any City staff getting involved with fundraising. <br />It was the Consensus of Council that the City Administrator may fulfill the fundraising <br />requirement by printing an article in the newspaper, newsletter, and contacting other City <br />Administrators whose cities benefits from the YMCA. <br />LIAISON REPORT, MAYOR SULLIVAN <br />Mayor Sullivan updated the Council regarding the Environmental <br />Board has done a great job and they have a lot of potential. She stated EDAC has both a good one & five (5) year plan. The group is <br />looking at putting together draft policies for the City regarding incentives. She added that <br />it is important that minutes from all boards get routed appropriately. <br />Mayor Sullivan referred to two (2) memos she distributed. The first memo related to the <br />Springsted report. She expressed concern regarding the assumptions that were made in <br />the report. The memo indicated the report is inaccurate and listed additional information <br />4 <br />
