• <br />• <br />• <br />CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION JANUARY 19, 2000 <br />This item will be on the February 9, 2000, Council work session. <br />TOWN CENTER DEVELOPMENT UPDATE, BRIAN WESSEL <br />Staff distributed a schedule of Planning and Zoning Board special meetings to address the <br />rezoning of the Town Center. Development Guidelines are being put together and the <br />access issue is being worked on with a representative of Mr. and Mrs. Tagg. Mr. and <br />Mrs. Tagg are also working on a commercial development plan for their property. <br />Staff continued advising that Mr. Baylor must revise his preliminary plat showing the <br />new road alignment. That effort will expedite his effort for final plat approval. This <br />issue will be discussed at the February 9, 2000, Council work session. Council action <br />will be requested on February 14, 2000. <br />The City Attorney has advised a developer's agreement will not be necessary if there is <br />concurrence on the road. Staff noted development standards for the Town Center are a <br />Planning and Zoning issue. Traffic and shifting the light industrial area is an issue. She asked if <br />EDAC is a discussion group. <br />Staff advised EDAC is a discussion group only. There has been no formal direction <br />given in regarding to rezoning. <br />Council Member Carlson also expressed concern regarding information going out to <br />citizens. She stated there is a big difference between regulations and zoning amendments. <br />She requested clearer information be given to citizens. <br />
