CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION JANUARY 19, 2000 <br />Text Amendment that would add "Temporary Concrete Batch Plant" as an Interim Use <br />within the Limited Business Zoning District based on conditions. <br />This item will be on the regular Council agenda Monday, January 24, 2000, 6:30 p.m. <br />OAK BROOK PENINSULA EASEMENT VACATION, JOHN POWELL <br />Staff advised there is no additional information regarding this issue. The public hearing <br />was closed but no action was taken. Staff noted the Melton's were not able to be present <br />this evening. <br />Staff advised Anoka County Mediation Services is available for discussion. There would <br />be no cost to the homeowners. Another alternative is for the appropriate staff members <br />and a Council Member facilitates discussions between the two -(2) parties. <br />Mrs. Schwartz came forward and stated a proposal was presented to Mrs. Melton. She <br />stated she believes the proposal was workable for both parties. Mr has not yet <br />contacted them about the proposal. She stated she is open to s ember, <br />and/or mediation services to resolve this issue. She added ution can be <br />worked out. <br />Staff noted the City is concerned about preced n elating to vacating the <br />easement. <br />Council directed the City Adminis .ti.►' - clrs. Melton about continuing <br />discussions with a mediation s r E f a Council Member. An update will be <br />given in the Friday packet <br />Council Member <br />nteered to facilitate the discussions. <br />Staff noted there is g deadline regarding this issue. <br />Council Member O'Donnell noted he strongly prefers a mediation service as opposed to <br />City staff and a Council Member. <br />Mrs. Schwartz noted they would not be present at the February 14, 2000, Council <br />meeting. She requested access to City staff and a Council Member if they go into <br />mediation. <br />HOUSE OF PRAISE/DEVELOPER, COUNCIL MEMBER DONNA CARLSON <br />Council Member Carlson advised a discussion was held about speaking to the Pastor <br />regarding the sale of his land for access.
