CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION FEBRUARY 9, 2000 <br />financial securities, is not necessary. The City will construct the road and utilities and <br />assess the costs to the benefiting properties. <br />A new signature page has been submitted. The City Attorney will review it before the <br />Council meeting. <br />Most of the conditions of approval refer to the site plan for McDonald's, These will be <br />addressed as part of the building permit review. Other conditions apply to the <br />construction of Apollo Drive, such as the permit from Anoka County. Since the road will <br />be a public project constructed by the City, such things become the City responsibility. <br />Staff recommended approval of the final plat. <br />This item will be on the regular Council agenda Monday, February 14, 2000, 6:30 p.m. <br />TOWN CENTER DEVELOPMENT UPDATE, JEFF SMYSER/MARY DIVINE <br />Staff advised the Planning and Zoning Board has had three (3) <br />the draft design standards for the Town Center. The meeti <br />progress is being made. The Planning and Zoning Board <br />recommendations. The next meeting is Thursday, F <br />gs regarding <br />and good <br />portive of staff <br />p.m. <br />Staff advised they have been having meetings 3 owners detailing to them what the <br />new regulations entail. Staff has aske�'��. �� ._�� to document any particular <br />concerns in letter form so staff c s e target date for the draft standards to <br />come before Council is March <br />Council directed staff t. le m.ecial Council work session to review the draft <br />standards. <br />COMPREHENSI ��=�� N UPDATE, JEFF SMYSER <br />Staff advised a special Council work session regarding the proposed Comprehensive Plan <br />is being held on Tuesday, February 15, 2000. <br />Mayor Bergeson suggested Council Members request any additional information needed <br />from staff prior to the meeting. <br />Council Member Carlson requested the number of building permits that were requested in <br />1999. She noted the key to the Plan is how to obtain the number of new houses to be <br />built. <br />Staff advised the Chair of the Task Force and the two -(2) Council Member candidates <br />have been invited to the meeting. <br />4 <br />
