• <br />CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION MAY 3, 2000 <br />Mr. Stromen added the strongest basis the City has for denial of the request is that there <br />are other less obtrusive sites available. <br />Council Member O'Donnell indicated the old City Hall site is a viable site. <br />Council Member Reinert indicated he is also in agreement with the old City Hall site. <br />Council Member Carlson stated the old City Hall is a better site than an elementary <br />school. Staff explained the four -(4) components of testing include oral, in - <br />basket exercise, promotability index, and background and experience. <br />Staff advised Mr. Kurt Roush came in with the best score. Staff anticipates the <br />promotion will occur on May 8, 2000. Mr. Roush will be assigned specific tasks and <br />represent the City outside of the department. <br />
