CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION MAY 17, 2000 <br />Mr. Seviola suggested another meeting be held after Council Members review the <br />information and visit the proposed site. <br />Council Member Reinert stated there are two (2) issues: building a permanent location <br />on the site and holding the annual event. Marmon <br />Keystone is a distributor of pipe for agriculture. The company is interested in an 80,000 <br />square foot facility in the Apollo Business Center. Staff referred to the location on a map. <br />The company employs nine (9) people and anticipate 2-4 more employees in the next few <br />years. The company hopes to come before Council in July, 2000. Staff advised they have <br />given the company a TIF proposal in the amount of $319,000 for a term of three (3) years. <br />The building will cost approximately 3.2 million and bring in $150,000 in annual taxes. <br />Staff noted they are following the current TIF policy from EDAC, which is more <br />conservative than past practice. <br />Staff advised they will proceed with a formal proposal to the company. They company <br />will be requesting one corner of the site for temporary outside storage. They are currently <br />leasing land in Little Canada. <br />5 <br />
