Included in the <br />plan was a recommendation that Highway 49 no longer be on the state system but part of <br />the County system. <br />Mr. Olson continued stating in 1997 a 2015 plan was developed. The County then began <br />talking about a bridge replacement. The plan was adopted in 1998 and included <br />reconstruction of Highway 49. The plan also incorporated guidelines that have been <br />adopted by the region in 1998. Mr. Olson noted the emphasis on minor arterials is <br />mobility rather than access. <br />Mr. Olson advised a bridge study was brought to the City in 1998 that included a plan for <br />a four (4) way divided section on the bridge.
