Modifying the project to include alternative means of providing utility service. <br />The City Administrator advised staff will explore the above options and another meeting will be held. <br />Staff is recommending the public hearing be continued to the August 28, 2000, Council meeting. <br />Mr. Lyle Bye, 775 Vicky Lane, came forward and thanked staff for working with the residents <br />regarding this issue. <br />Mr. Raymond Johnson, 7971 Nancy Drive, came forward and stated he will refrain from making <br />comments until August 28, 2000. <br />Mr. John Hudgens, 6661 Pelican Place, came forward and stated hd at the previous Council <br />meeting about the time frame regarding the County's turn back ny ori` ghway 49. He requested <br />an update from Council. <br />The City Engineer advised that question must be answered y the unty. There will be other opportunities <br />ad any additional discussion regarding the project. <br />The City Engineer referrMr. ns to Mr. John Olson, County Engineer, regarding the turn back <br />funds. <br />Mayor Bergeson directed st to <br />contact the County Engineer again regarding the turn back funds. <br />Ms. Arlene Aberbach, 7855 Lake Drive, came forward and expressed concern regarding her neighbor <br />losing a tree to oak wilt. She stated she has many mature trees close to the dead tree. The City <br />Forester visited the site and suggested curdling the trees. She stated she called a consultant and the <br />consultant stated curdling is not an option. The consultant injected the trees. The City of Ham Lake <br />is paying for the trenching of trees and possibly the partial cost of injecting trees to help this problem. <br />She stated the City Forester did not even mention injections. She stated it is possible she would have <br />lost three (3) trees. She stated she wants the property trenched this fall or at least five big Oak trees <br />will die.
