COUNCIL MINUTES DECEMBER 11, 2000 <br />Council Member Carlson inquired where Arlo Lane ends up and how long it is. Staff referred to a <br />map indicating Arlo Lane noting it is currently known as Elizabeth Lane. Staff added the roadway is <br />approximately 500 ft. <br />Council Member Carlson stated that one map it appears as though Arlo Lane will go to Lake Drive. <br />On another map it appears to dead end. Staff advised the map is an old map. Staff referred to the <br />correct map and pointed out the location of the roadway. <br />The City Engineer corrected the previous statement, noting that the stub street, Arlo Lane, is <br />approximately 250 ft. <br />Council Member Dahl moved to approve Preliminary Plat, Highland Meadows West 2"d Addition, <br />based on the following conditions: <br />1. No additional development shall occur in Outlot A, Highland Meadows West 2nd <br />Addition until safe and efficient circulation in the area including Main St. access is <br />addressed to the satisfaction of the City and Anoka Co <br />2. The property o ting the vacation, and their neighbors, were in mediation to resolve <br />this and other issues. s aff recently contacted the residents who requested the vacation, they <br />indicated this issue was dressed during the mediation. Staff then asked if they would like to <br />withdraw their request for the vacation, they said they would. Staff also contacted the neighbor and <br />informed them the request has been withdrawn and the City would not take action on the matter. <br />The hearing should be close and no other action is required. Staff will send a letter to the requester <br />confirming termination of the vacation request consideration. Staff will also request a copy of the <br />results of the mediation to verify no other action is required by the City. <br />Council Member Dahl moved to close the public hearing for Oak Brook Peninsula Easement <br />Vacation.
