COUNCIL MINUTES DECEMBER 18, 2000 <br />locations. The City of Lino Lakes submitted an application on February 24, 1999 to provide trail <br />connections between existing residential areas to the 2,500 acre Rice Creek Chain of Lakes Regional <br />Park Reserve. <br />On August 3, 1999 the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources informed the City of Lino Lakes <br />that the Grant Application was approved by the Legislative Commission of Minnesota Resources <br />(LCMR) on August 3, 1999. The grant award was in the amount of $30,000. <br />In order to continue with the steps necessary to receive the grant award, the City Council must <br />approve a resolution accepting the grant in the amount of the award as partial funding for the trails <br />project. The matching requirement must also be recognized. Finally, the fiscal agent for the grant <br />award must be designated. <br />Resolution No. 00 -126 acknowledges the City Council's acceptance of the $30,000 grant, <br />recognizes the matching requirement, and designates the Public Services Director as the fiscal agent. <br />Council Member Carlson moved to adopt Resolution No. 00 —126, as d. She referred to page 3, paragraph 7, relating to Mr. <br />Duffy's comment to senior housing. She suggested the following be deleted from the minutes: "and <br />he is interested in senior housing". She suggested the other option is to change the words to state "he <br />is not aware he is doing senior housing". <br />Council Member Carlson stated she is unsure what Mr. Duffy's comments were regarding senior <br />housing. She suggested the comment just be removed from the minutes. <br />Council Member Dahl suggested the comment be changes to read "he would look into senior <br />housing". <br />The City Attorney advised Council Member Dahl should make a motion to approve the minutes that <br />includes her suggested changes. <br />
