COUNCIL MINUTES JANUARY 8, 2001 <br />Council Member Dahl indicated she would support the request. She stated she has a pole barn. Other <br />types of structures would stick out in this neighborhood. There are also other pole barns in the area. <br />She stated she did not get information in her packet regarding the Rice Creek Watershed District's <br />opinion on the soil. Mr. Lyden is accommodating the City and the City should meet him half way. <br />She indicated she does want an answer about how many other parcels there are in the City relating to <br />a precedence being set. <br />Council Member Reinert stated he had hoped an agreement on the siding could be met. He indicated <br />he would allow the variance if that happens. He stated he also agrees that a structure to store the boat <br />is better for the neighbors. <br />Mayor Bergeson stated that if he had written the ordinance, everyone would have a pole barn. He <br />advised Mr. Lyden he can withdraw the application temporarily or move ahead. <br />Mr. Lyden indicated he is agreeable to tabling the request if the Council is receptive to discussions to <br />explore further middle ground. <br />Mayor Bergeson advised Mr. Lyden to have discussions with staff ,g; g a eptable building <br />materials. <br />Council Member Dahl inquired about the resolution for <br />has suggested the City use resolution for all Coun <br />regular basis. <br />Council Member Dahl asked if Mr. L <br />resolution is not used.
