COUNCIL MINUTES FEBRUARY 12, 2001 <br />do not allow for other types of structures. <br />Council Member Dahl asked if staff would like her to change the motion. City Planner Smyser <br />advised Council can use the language in the suggested staff change or use Council Member Dahl's <br />wording. <br />City Administrator Waite Smith explained the difference between the two (2) resolutions noting that <br />one would deny the variance and one would approve the variance. <br />Mayor Bergeson advised the motion does not need to be changed. The distributed document supports <br />the motion. He asked the maker of the motion and the second if the document is acceptable to <br />support to the motion. <br />Council Member Dahl indicated the proposed language from staff is adequate to support her motion. <br />Council Member O'Donnell indicated the proposed language change from staff is adequate to support <br />the second. <br />Council Member Carlson stated the request was a hard choice <br />and nine (9) out of the existing 14 homes have pole barns. He referred to finding #5 relating to <br />keeping with the spirit and intent of the ordinance. He indicated that even if property were purchased, <br />he is not sure it would change anything. <br />Motion carried with Council Member Carlson voting no. <br />Resolution No. 2001- 02 can be found in the City Clerk's office. <br />UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br />12 <br />
