• <br />• <br />• <br />COUNCIL MINUTES APRIL 9, 2001 <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />MINUTES <br />DATE : April 9, 2001 <br />TIME STARTED : 6:30 P.M. <br />TIME ENDED : 7:45 P.M. <br />MEMBERS PRESENT : Carlson, O'Donnell, Reinert, and Mayor <br />Bergeson <br />MEMBERS ABSENT : Dahl <br />Staff members present: City Administrator, Linda Waite Smith; City Attorney, Bill Hawkins; <br />Administration Director, Dan Tesch; and Public Services Director, Rick DeGardner <br />Mayor Bergeson advised the purpose of the Board of Review meetin, review property tax <br />valuations. Representatives from the County are present to answer <br />Mr. Jason Dagostino, County Appraiser, came forward and s sent to review property <br />valuations for taxes payable in 2002. He indicated he did ce��a so phone calls from residents <br />who inquired about taxes. One major issue regarding tie in reas=� taxes relates to the bond issue <br />for the School District. <br />Mr. Gerald Clausen, 6109 Baldwin Lake Road, <br />1952. The wetlands are not included in the valuation. <br />Mr. Clausen stated he wants to know how the County determined the value. The value seems to be <br />going up approximately $8,000 every year. <br />Mr. Dagostino stated today's trends indicate it is a seller's market. The average property valuation in <br />Lino Lakes this year is 8.5%. The home will appreciate unless it is in very bad shape. <br />
