COUNCIL MINUTES AUGUST 13, 2001 <br />Council Member Carlson suggested a condition of approval be added to indicate Elm Street will be <br />reconstructed before 62nd Street. <br />Council Member Reinert stated that is a Council action that has yet to take place. The only people <br />that can stop the reconstruction of Elm Street is the Council. <br />Council Member Carlson stated her concern is that she has seen funds moved around before. <br />City Planner Smyser advised future Councils can change any action that is taken this evening. <br />Council Member Carlson stated she would like the following added to the conditions: <br />1. Elm Street will be reconstructed prior to Holly Drive and/or 62nd Street. <br />Council Member O'Donnell moved to adopt Resolution No. 01— 113 ended. Council Member <br />Dahl seconded the motion. <br />Council Member Dahl stated she would like the trail to be co <br />place due to safety issues. He indicated he agrees that the road should not <br />be torn up after the reconstruction. <br />Council Member Dahl inquired about the length of time for the feasibility report and how long the <br />project would take. City Engineer Powell stated a report could be given to the Council in December <br />2001. By next spring a schedule would be developed. Ideally, the construction traffic should be on <br />the old roadway. <br />18 <br />
