CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION SEPTEMBER 5, 2001 <br />assessments off early. A cap on the time and dollars is also an option. <br />Council Member O'Donnell stated he would also like to see a five -(5) year pay back <br />period. <br />Council Member Carlson stated the total subsidy amount has not changed. She expressed <br />concern about the City not collecting fees that it normally would have collected. She <br />stated an eight -(8) year pay back period is too long. <br />Mayor Bergeson stated he looks at it like the City is going to abate a certain amount of <br />money for a certain number of years. In addition, the City won't cft t some fees in year <br />one. Also, in year one the City would be collecting a lot more <br />without the development.
