COUNCIL MINUTES SEPTEMBER 10, 2001 <br />Finance Director Rolek advised the motion on the table is for Resolution No. 01 106. That <br />resolution does not including anything about waived fees. <br />Council Member Carlson indicated she will withdraw the amendment and add it to the business <br />subsidy resolution. <br />Council Member Dahl asked what will happen if the tax abatement resolution is approved and the <br />business subsidy resolution is denied. City Attorney Hawkins stated he understands that the <br />negotiations are for both the tax abatement and business subsidy. Council Member <br />O'Donnell seconded the motion. <br />Council Member Carlson moved to amend the motion to include the removal of the $105,00 in <br />waived fees for a five -(5) year total subsidy. Council Member Dahl seconded the motion. <br />Mayor Bergeson stated he is against the amendment because he believes the agreement was <br />negotiated as a package. The project is good for the City and the total package should be approved as <br />presented. <br />Council Member Dahl stated she agrees the project would be good for the City but it can be done <br />without a subsidy. If it can't be done without a subsidy, Target does not really want to be here. <br />16 <br />
