COUNCIL MINUTES OCTOBER 22, 2001 <br />4. That granting the Variance requested would not confer on the applicant any special privilege <br />that would be denied by y this ordinance to other lands, structures, or buildings in the same <br />district. <br />5. That the proposed actions will be in keeping with the spirit and intent of the ordinance. <br />City Planner Smyser noted if the variance was not passed, the only other option was to rebuild the <br />new home. <br />Mayor Bergeson asked the variance applicant if he had spoken with the neighbors. <br />The Applicant, representing Cornerstone Home Builders, stated he built the neighbors' home and was <br />acquainted with them. He had not spoken to them regarding this matter. <br />Councilmember Reinert stated he was uncomfortable with voting before he ing from the Luceys. The requested amendments would change <br />several of the conditions that were adopted with previous approvals. The site plan review application <br />is for a new manufacturing building on the site. The new building also is an amendment to the <br />conditional use permit. City Planner Smyser noted approval of Resolution No. 01-171 would <br />include approval for the amendments to the existing conditional use permit, amendments to the <br />existing interim use permit, and the site and building plan review. <br />City Planner Smyser reviewed the history of Molin Concrete. He stated the Molin site includes <br />approximately 55 acres. The entire site is guided for industrial use by both the old and the new <br />comprehensive plans. The north 20 acres of the site is zoned LI, the southern 35 acres is zoned GI. <br />Surrounding land use and zoning is shown in the table: <br />8 <br />
