CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION DECEMBER 5, 2001 <br />UPDATE ON QUAD CITIES POLICE DISCUSSIONS, MAYOR BERGESON <br />Mayor Bergeson advised informal meetings have been held regarding this issue with the <br />City Administrators and Mayors. At the last meeting the discussion turned to the idea of <br />hiring a consultant to facilitate the process. He indicated that at that point he was uneasy <br />because he does not feel that just he and the City Administrator should decide whether the <br />City will participate in a more formal process. <br />Mayor Bergeson continued, indicating he and City Administrator Waite Smith <br />respectfully declined the invitation to the next meeting.
