CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION JANUARY 9, 2002 <br />made in the utilities. The plan is two-thirds done and it is not fair to change the rules on <br />the developer at this point. The concern is the changing standards with which the <br />developer will need to conform. The developer wants the rest of the project to go forward <br />as planned. A portion of the property is zoned correctly but a piece of it is zoned rural. <br />When that piece is rezoned it will be consistent with the Comprehensive Plan. A formal <br />application was submitted to Staff today. This plan is a continuation of the whole project <br />and the developer would like to move forward with it. <br />Mr. John Johnson, Engineer for Mr. Uhde, stated the developer was waiting to submit the <br />formal application until the City had MUSA to allocate. The pl . calls for approximately <br />75-80 acres of additional MUSA. Part of the project is within th SA boundary and <br />does have preliminary plat approval. The plan has 169 units and ° . The <br />developer is selling approximately 30 units per year per the City' <br />Mayor Bergeson asked how many more situations like this p ity. <br />Community Development Director Grochala advised ther • �) similar situations <br />like this within the City. <br />Mayor Bergeson advised the City will need to obt. leg: . dvice from the City Attorney <br />regarding these types of situations. <br />The second reading of Ordinance 23 - 01,on New Residential Development, <br />will be on the regular agenda Monday, Jau•' 4, 21 2. <br />LION'S CLUB LICENSE INQUIRY, <br />Mayor Bergeson advised the Li <br />serve alcohol. She stated she will do more <br />research and brin_ - ormation back to the City Council. <br />MARTIN LUTHE " NG INVOCATION, COUNCILMEMBER CARLSON <br />Councilmember Carlson advised there will be a Martin Luther King Invocation that <br />includes a discussion on inclusionary housing. A bus will be leaving from St. Joseph's <br />Church on Sunday, January 13, 2002, 2:00 p.m. <br />PARK BOARD MEETING INQUIRY, COUNCILMEMBER REINERT <br />Councilmember Reinert asked why the Park Board meeting was not televised on Monday <br />night. <br />
