COUNCIL MINUTES <br />Construction of Trails <br />FEBRUARY 11, 2002 <br />The third component of the bond referendum is establishing additional trails throughout the City. The <br />purpose of the trail system is to provide functional pedestrian and bicycle linkages throughout the <br />parks system. A copy of the proposed trails to be included in the referendum was also included in the <br />packets. <br />How to Obtain More Information <br />In addition to the neighborhood meetings the week of April 8th, the "Referendum 2002" Committee is <br />working on various ways for the residents of Lino lakes to obtain specific information related to this <br />important bond referendum including: <br />Video Presentation — The video presentation provides informatio • e history of the referendum, <br />specific content of the referendum, and additional information suc as co only asked questions, tax <br />impacts, etc. The video presentation will be run on Local Cab. 6, and at various <br />community meetings. <br />Informational Brochure — An informational brochure illR� a sent to all Lino Lakes residents the <br />first week of April. The informational brochure will i X'. ecific components of the referendum, <br />tax impacts, voter information, etc. <br />Town Hall Meetings — Meetings are schedule `n; d April 23 at 6:30 p.m. to provide an <br />opportunity for residents of Lino Lakes to re all o the information regarding the referendum and <br />to ask questions. Public Services <br />Director DeGardner advised information will be available on the web site February 22, 2002. The <br />address is www.ci.lino-lakes.mn.us. He stated there will be a direct link to the referendum <br />information on that web site. <br />Mayor Bergeson requested the web site address also be put on the cable channel. <br />Councilmember Dahl moved to adopt Resolution No. 02 -14, as presented. Councilmember Reinert <br />seconded the motion. <br />Mayor Bergeson stated on behalf of the Council, he is glad to see the referendum moving forward. <br />The City has had a contract on the land for the complex for quite some time and the referendum is the <br />next step in the process. <br />
