COUNCIL MINUTES Construction of Trails FEBRUARY 11, 2002 The third component of the bond referendum is establishing additional trails throughout the City. The purpose of the trail system is to provide functional pedestrian and bicycle linkages throughout the parks system. A copy of the proposed trails to be included in the referendum was also included in the packets. How to Obtain More Information In addition to the neighborhood meetings the week of April 8th, the "Referendum 2002" Committee is working on various ways for the residents of Lino lakes to obtain specific information related to this important bond referendum including: Video Presentation — The video presentation provides informatio • e history of the referendum, specific content of the referendum, and additional information suc as co only asked questions, tax impacts, etc. The video presentation will be run on Local Cab. 6, and at various community meetings. Councilmember Reinert askek when information on the web site will be available. Public Services Director DeGardner advised information will be available on the web site February 22, 2002. The address is www.ci.lino-lakes.mn.us. He stated there will be a direct link to the referendum information on that web site. Mayor Bergeson requested the web site address also be put on the cable channel. Councilmember Dahl moved to adopt Resolution No. 02 -14, as presented. Councilmember Reinert seconded the motion. Mayor Bergeson stated on behalf of the Council, he is glad to see the referendum moving forward. The City has had a contract on the land for the complex for quite some time and the referendum is the next step in the process.
