CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION FEBRUARY 20, 2002 <br />Ms. Joan Galli, DNR, noted that the DNR requires both cities to work together if the lake <br />is in both cities. <br />Environmental Specialist Asleson stated Staff wants to use the same ordinance that <br />Centerville is using and have it approved by the Council. The public hearings will be <br />held and the proper notices will be sent to residents. <br />Mr. Wayne LeBlanc, 1677 Peltier Lake Drive, stated he has spoken to all the residents <br />that are affected by the ordinance except for one. Everyone has indicated they are <br />agreeable to the no -wake zone. <br />Environmental Specialist Asleson stated a no -wake zone will not affect the use of the <br />lake. That area is a major asset of the County Park. <br />Environmental Specialist Asleson stated a notice of the hearings will be put in the paper <br />next week. Public Hearings will be held on March 11 and March 25. There is then a 30 <br />day waiting period and a maximum wait of 120 days from the State. <br />Council directed Staff to move forward with the proposed ordinance. <br />
