COUNCIL MINUTES APRIL 22, 2002 <br />Ms. Wiener returned to the meeting and stated the County has set up an appointment with Mr. Bruce <br />Hansen to view his property tomorrow at 10:00 a.m. Mr. Hansen will then get notice of the County's <br />decision and he can attend the Board of Review at the County if he still has any concerns. <br />Ms. Wiener advised she received a letter from Mr. Edmund Seekno and noted she will forward a copy <br />of the letter to the City. Mr. Seekno indicated he does not feel his property should be valued at <br />$123,000 because the property is on Main Street and there is a lot of traffic. The letter also indicated <br />he now has a moisture problem in his basement because of the development that was done behind his <br />home. The County did give him a 5% reduction in his property valuation because of the moisture <br />problem. Mr. Seekno did obtain an appraisal that indicated the home is valued at $129,000. That <br />value was crossed out and the value of $115,000 —120,000 was written in on the appraisal form. Ms. <br />Wiener advised she called the real estate company and they indicated the written value was what the <br />property owner would receive after the company took out their to sell the property. Ms. Wiener <br />stated other property valuations were taken in the area and it is p ®: e the valued amount of <br />$123,000 is even too low. The County is recommending the val Vista $123,000. The Board of <br />Review must determine if the recommendation is approved. <br />Mayor Bergeson stated that unless any Councilmember ` _` e with the property in question, the <br />valuation of $123,000 will stand. <br />Ms. Wiener asked if the City has received any of s from residents. <br />City Administrator Waite Smith advised the g has not received any letters from residents regarding <br />this issue. <br />Ms. Wiener asked for signatures fro <br />pleasure to work in Lino Lakes. He asked if the <br />County is still on a four year c e of reassessing properties. <br />Ms. Wiener indicated the County is still on a four year cycle. <br />Councilmember Dahl moved to close the Board of Review meeting at 6:57 p.m. Councilmember <br />Reinert seconded the motion.
