COUNCIL MINUTES MAY 13, 2002 <br />It was City Attorney Hawkins' opinion that the April 11, 2002 minutes would be approved by the <br />Charter Commission. <br />City Administrator Waite Smith noted this had been the first joint meeting with the Charter <br />Commission since the hiring of a new City Clerk. She believed City Clerk Blair had wished to ensure <br />the City Council received a copy of the April 11, 2002 minutes for their review. <br />Mayor Bergeson recommended the April 11, 2002 minutes of the joint meeting with the Charter <br />Commission be removed from the agenda. <br />Councilmember Carlson stated she had changes to the April 8, 17 and 22, 2002 meeting minutes. She <br />questioned whether the fact that the meeting with the Charter Commission had been a joint meeting <br />with the City Council would suggested that the Council should approve that section of the minutes <br />also. <br />Mayor Bergeson stated the question was whether the meeting ha y& bee R mply a joint meeting or <br />whether it had been a Charter Commission meeting to whic council had been invited. <br />Councilmember Dahl stated the meeting had been a re <br />City Council had been invited to attend. <br />r Commission meeting that the <br />City Clerk Blair requested comments from the Ci Cocil regarding their portions of the April 11, <br />2002 Charter Commission meeting minutes.' is were received. <br />Councilmember Carlson requested the fol g _ dnges to the minutes under consideration: <br />April 8, 2002 City Council _': g Utes — On page eight, last paragraph, amend the <br />second sentence to read, "S if i would be possible that the City would not be able to <br />collect the full amount..." <br />April 17, 2002 Counci ession Minutes — On page two, third full paragraph from the <br />top, amend the first sen " ce to read, "...on the north end of the lake, since this is the cleaner <br />section." <br />With regard to the April 22, 2002 City Council meeting minutes, Councilmember Carlson requested <br />verification of whether the findings of fact to deny the CUP application had been stated. <br />Mayor Bergeson suggested, since this could not be verified at this time, the April 22, 2002 City <br />Council meeting minutes be removed from this evening's agenda for future consideration. All <br />Councilmembers concurred. <br />Councilmember Dahl noted on page 10 of the April 8, 2002 City Council meeting minutes, in the <br />fourth paragraph from the top, Community Development Director Grochala mentions other recent <br />"429" projects within the City. She noted this reference was to Minnesota State Statute Chapter 429 <br />and she wished that this be clarified for the public. <br />10 <br />
