COUNCIL MINUTES MAY 13, 2002 <br />this area and she felt this was a quality of life issue. She requested consideration of reconstructing the <br />roadway sooner than 2004. She noted if the project schedule were moved up her children would <br />benefit from the improvements. <br />Karen Parsons, 6409 Cassiopeia Court, stated she supported the reconstruction of Holly Drive being <br />on the City's Five -Year Financial Plan. She too was concerned for the safety of her children, as well <br />as the entire neighborhood. She suggested the City consider possible liability issues since this has <br />been an ongoing issue since 1994 and the City has been warned many times in the past about the <br />dangerous conditions on Holly Drive. She stated she too would prefer that the project be moved up <br />on the schedule. <br />At 6:47 p.m., Councilmember Dahl moved to continue the public hearing on the Five -Year Financial <br />Plan for 2002 through 2006 to the Monday, June 10, 2002 City Council meeting. Councilmember <br />Reinert seconded the motion. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />Councilmember Dahl noted the fact that there are no trails <br />mentioned and asked that Public Services Director DeG <br />trails in this area will be included on the City's trails <br />Public Services Director DeGardner stated the C <br />transportation trail along Holly Drive. However, he cautioned this would <br />likely involve a substantial ami t of money since it would affect the ditch alignment. <br />Councilmember Dahl asked if it would be possible for the trail to be constructed on the other side of <br />Holly Drive so that it could extend to County Road J. <br />Public Services Director DeGardner stated the detailed designs would dictate on which side of the <br />road the trail would be extended. <br />Mayor Bergeson suggested that when the City Council next discusses the proposed Five -Year <br />Financial Plan, whatever detail is available regarding the trail along Holly Drive be reported. <br />Consideration of Resolution No. 02-40, Adopting Five -Year Financial Plan, 2002 through 2006, <br />Al Rolek, City Finance Director Rolek recommended that this item be tabled to the June 10, 2002 <br />City Council meeting. <br />
