CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION SEPTEMBER 4, 2002 <br />He stated the RCWD is determining what type of wetland the pond is and whether or not <br />it has to be mitigated. <br />Councilmember O'Donnell asked if the City over paid Mr. Holte because the pond is <br />wetland. City Engineer Studenski stated the RCWD is saying the pond used to be a <br />wetland that was altered and the City may have to mitigate it. <br />Councilmember O'Donnell asked why the City is requiring Mr. Boeckman to remove his <br />well before the work on the pond is started. City Engineer Studenski stated the City is <br />trying to avoid Mr. Boeckman's lines being hit with the work on the pond. <br />Mr. Boeckman stated he would rather move his well after the pond is filled in and is <br />willing to take the risk of the lines being hit with the new pipe. He indicated he would <br />sign documentation to that effect. He stated he still has wat sroblems in his basement <br />due to the heavy rain. CTION STATUS UPDATE, <br />MICHAEL GROCHALA <br />Community Developmen ec Grchala stated the County has been working on <br />where the roadway will be veloped and the EAW process. The majority of the roadway <br />is not within Lino Lakes but e County will want to continue the four -lane highway with <br />a median through Anoka County. Staff needs to know what the Council's issues are with <br />the roadway. Anoka County is looking at 120 feet of right-of-way. City staff has talked <br />to residents at the neighborhood meeting. The roadway is an excellent economic <br />development opportunity for the City of Lino Lakes. <br />Mayor Bergeson stated the roadway should match what the City of Hugo is doing <br />especially if the funding is available. <br />Councilmember O'Donnell stated the City should find out what Centerville would like to <br />see done with the roadway. <br />5 <br />
