CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION SEPTEMBER 4, 2002 <br />Staff has discussed whether this issue is a design problem and whether or not the City can <br />seek redress from the architect. Staff believes at best the City has grounds to recover <br />$6,950 for the program control. <br />Staff is requesting authorization to place this item on the regular Council agenda Monday <br />night. The Finance Director recommends the funds be taken from the Capital <br />Improvement Fund (401). <br />It was the consensus of the Council to place this item on the regular Council agenda. <br />Councilmember Carlson stated she concerned that there are other problems with the <br />building that the City is not aware of. <br />City Administrator Waite Smith stated the entire building wore R inspected. Staff can <br />not guarantee there are no other problems with the building. <br />This item will appear on the regular Council agenda Mo y, eptember 9, 2002, 6:30 <br />p.m. <br />City Administrator Waite Smith also distribute emiegarding the Electrical <br />Inspections Contract. Staff is recommending .fie terminate its electrical inspection <br />contract with Ken Peterson. The City can con s ith the State for inspections. S, SEPTEMBER 9, 2002 <br />Item 4A, Consider Adopting Resolution No. 02 —103, Accepting Anoka County's Design <br />for Reconstructing CSAH 49 from Lake Drive to County Road J — Councilmember <br />O'Donnell and Mayor Bergeson requested this item remain on the regular agenda with the <br />addition of language regarding the 45 mph speed limit. <br />Item 7E, Consideration of Resolution No. 02 —110, Approving Placement of the 2003- <br />2004 Street Reconstruction Project on the 2002 Election Ballot — This item was removed <br />from the regular Council agenda. <br />Community Calendar — A community gathering on September 11, 2002, 7:00 p.m. at the <br />gymnasium at the Senior High, to commemorate September 11, 2001, was added to the <br />Community Calendar. <br />
