CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION SEPTEMBER 18, 2002 <br />• PETE NADEAU, 6651 20TH AVENUE, WATER HOOK-UP ASSESSMENT, <br />MICHAEL GROCHALA <br />r <br />• <br />Community Development Director Grochala stated Mr. Nadeau previously moved a <br />house to another property within the City. The property does have a trunk water main so <br />Mr. Nadeau would like to hook up to City services. The cost of the hook up is $40,626. <br />With the Bisel Amendment the hook up costs would be $5,000 - $7,000. If the house had <br />been on the property when the utilities came through the cost would also be $5,000 - <br />$7,000. Mr. Nadeau has requested he pay the assessment amount according to the Bisel <br />Amendment. <br />City Administrator Waite Smith advised a special work session to review City policies <br />including the Bisel Amendment will be scheduled at some point in the future. <br />Council directed staff to continue to work with Mr. Nadeau o s issue but the City can <br />not exempt him from the current City policy. <br />CONSIDER JOINING 35E COALITION, LINDA V ITE SMITH <br />City Administrator Waite Smith advised the issue of a 35E coalition was raised at the <br />joint meeting in Hugo. This issue was placed on the agenda so the Council could discuss <br />it before a decision is made. <br />Councilmember O'Donnell clarified that f would participate in the coalition. He <br />indicated he is in favor of forming a co <br />City Administrator Waite Smith indicated she is unsure about the costs of the coalition. <br />The costs can not be determined until the number of participants is known. <br />It was the consensus of Co cil to participate in the 35E coalition. <br />SCHEDULE GROWTH MANAGEMENT WORK SESSION, LINDA WAITE <br />SMITH <br />City Administrator Waite Smith distributed calendars for September and October and <br />asked that a Growth Management work session be scheduled. <br />The Growth Management work session was scheduled for Wednesday, October 2, 2002, <br />6:00 p.m. <br />REGULAR AGENDA, SEPTEMBER 23, 2002 <br />Item 7D, Consider Resolution No. 02 — 117, Approving Variance and a Minor <br />Subdivision, 855 Ash Street (Lindahl Property) — Council directed staff to include a copy <br />of the Planning and Zoning Board minutes regarding this issue in the Friday updates. <br />
