If approved it would provide an additional $426 per student and of <br />that amount about 62 cents is from local sources and 38 cents is from the State. <br />City Administrator Waite Smith asked what the school currently receives for State aid per pupil. <br />Mr. Christiansen stated they currently receive about $4,600 per pupil of State aid plus there are about <br />12 other categories the student may or may not qualify for. He noted this would be a maximum of a <br />ten-year levy. <br />Councilmember Dahl asked if there are currently operating levies. Mr. Christiansen stated the current <br />operating levy is $39 per pupil or $311,000 per year with part from local sources and part from the <br />State. That levy sunsets in school year 2006-2007. <br />Councilmember Dahl noted it says the referendum of $426 wil <br />large they are now. Mr. Christiansen displayed a chart and <br />noted that with an estimated taxi - e market value of $175,000 the monthly increase would be $19.98. <br />A $250,000 valued property would be $28.54 per month and a $400,000 valued property would be <br />$45.66 per month. He noted this is the worst-case scenario and with tax base growth that will be <br />reduced. <br />Mayor Bergeson thanked Mr. Christiansen for presenting this information. <br />Robert Benning, 6788 E. Shadow Lake Drive, stated the City's web site shows August 26, 2002. He <br />stated this has been occurring for months and he believes the information on the web site is poor and <br />wrong. He suggested if it cannot be right, it not be posted at all. Mr. Benning stated the City's web <br />site should be updated in a timely fashion and cover the Council and other committee meetings. <br />
