COUNCIL MINUTES SEPTEMBER 23, 2002 explained that Circle Pines has indicated if they extend sewer and water, they also want to serve it with their gas service, and would need to extend MUSA. Community Development Director Grochala reviewed the number of issues that would make extension of utilities from Circle Pines problematic. He stated that the site will accommodate the on- site well and septic but if the applicant decides to pursue connection from Circle Pines, staff can conduct further research. Len Lampert, architect, stated they plan to start construction in the spring but it appears to be doubtful that the engineering feats to provide utilities can be accomplished by then. He stated it is acceptable with the applicant to go with the on-site septic and well systems. He stated they are comfortable they can satisfy the City's requirements to go with their own sewer system, water well, and water reservoir for fire suppression.
