• <br />COUNCIL MINUTES JANUARY 13, 2003 <br />APPROVED <br />Resolution No. 03-09 can be found in the City Clerk's office. <br />ADMINISTRATION DEPARTMENT REPORT, DAN TESCH <br />Consideration of First Meeting of the Year Appointments, Dan Tesch — Mayor Bergeson noted <br />that each year the City Council is required to make a number of appointments at its first meeting of <br />the year. He noted that some are committee appointments while others relate to contracts for services. <br />He recommended that if anyone on the Council would like to change their assignment, that item be <br />tabled to the next work session when it can be discussed. Mayor Bergeson asked if there was <br />discussion related to Councilmember assignments that should be deferred to a work session. <br />Councilmember Carlson stated she would like Councilmember assignments deferred to a work <br />session. She asked the Council to also consider the assignment of members to various City Boards <br />and that it be formalized, if needed. <br />Mayor Bergeson stated those assignments will be deferred to the next Council work session. He <br />noted the staff recommendations for the contractual arrangements between the City and various <br />agencies and that staff recommends no changes except that one bank was added to the list of legal <br />depositories. <br />• Councilmember Reinert moved to approve the following appointments: <br />• <br />Legal Newspaper <br />Minute Taking Service <br />Employment Legal Service <br />Labor Services <br />Fiscal Agent <br />Assessor <br />Legal Depositories <br />Quad Community Press <br />TimeSaver Off Site Secretarial, Inc. <br />Barna, Guzy & Steffan Ldt. <br />Labor Relations Association <br />Springsted, Inc. <br />Anoka County <br />Wells Fargo, Community National Bank, First <br />Bank, NA, US Bank, Merrill Lynch, Dain <br />Rauscher, Prudential Bache, Lino Lakes State <br />Bank, LMC 4M Fund, Solomon, Smith, Barney, <br />others as needed. <br />Councilmember Dahl seconded the motion. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />PUBLIC SAFETY DEPARTMENT REPORT, DAVE PECCHIA <br />Consideration of Resolution No. 03-08, Authorizing DNR Grant for Snowmobile Enforcement, <br />Sergeant Rausch — Police Sergeant Rausch explained that the Lino Lakes Police Department has <br />been selected to receive grant funds in the amount of $1,500 designated for overtime projects and/or <br />equipment supporting enforcement of snowmobile rules and regulations.
