• <br />CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION FEBRUARY 5, 2003 <br />APPROVED <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />MINUTES <br />DATE : February 5, 2003 <br />TIME STARTED : 5:36 p.m. <br />TIME ENDED : 8:28 p.m. <br />MEMBERS PRESENT : Councilmember Dahl, Carlson, <br />O'Donnell, and Mayor Bergeson <br />MEMBERS ABSENT : Reinert <br />Staff members present: Administration Director, Dan Tesch; Community Development <br />Director, Michael Grochala; City Planner, Jeff Smyser; Planning Associate, Tanda Gretz <br />(part); Chief of Police, Dave Pecchia (part); and City Clerk, Arm Blair (part) <br />REQUEST FOR LETTER OF RECOMMENDATION FOR DRAMA FESTIVAL., <br />ANN BLAIR <br />City Clerk Blair distributed a draft letter of recommendation for the Centennial Drama <br />Group. She indicated she would get more specific information on the group's <br />accomplishments and add that to the letter. <br />Administration Director Tesch advised Council that if there are any additions or <br />suggestions for the letter contact City Clerk Blair. <br />City Clerk Blair advised she would have the final draft letter on Monday. <br />DISCUSS ELM STREET AND 62ND STREET RECONSTRUCTION/62ND <br />STREET IMPROVEMENT PROJECT — COMPREHENSIVE PLAN <br />AMENDMENT, MICHAEL GROCHALA <br />Community Development Director Grochala advised the biggest component of the two <br />projects is the Comprehensive Plan Amendment for 62nd Street. He indicated staff met <br />with the Metropolitan Council regarding the process necessary to amend the <br />Comprehensive Plan. <br />Community Development Director Grochala reviewed the background of the project <br />noting the amendment would be to change the zoning for sewer. If the project were to go <br />forward, the City will have to determine how much net acreage would be included. The <br />amendment would have to go through the Planning and Zoning Board and the <br />Metropolitan Council. <br />
